English spelling,
reformed by software.
lose
Four hundred years of spelling reform failed for two reasons: they asked people to apply rules by hand, and they could not tell whether read rhymes with reed or red. Euspell™ treats both as engineering problems.
The restraint is the design
No new letters. No diacritics. Proper nouns left alone. Most of the engineering went into deciding what not to change.
It reads the sentence, not just the word
A rule that maps letters to letters cannot know whether records is a noun or a verb — and in Euspell they are spelled differently. Every entry carries its parts of speech, and a classifier reads the surrounding words to settle what a rule cannot.
She recordz the records.
That distinction is the reason the reform can be applied by a program at all, and it is what no previous proposal could offer — none of them could see context.
One engine, many surfaces
None of these re-implement the reform. Every one of them runs the same converter, on your own device.
